Want to Volunteer?

Volunteering at the Erewash Junior Aquathlon and Novice Triathlon

We are keen to provide opportunities for interested people to volunteer and support the delivery of the Aquathlon, Triathlon and Family Fun Run events. We hope that by volunteering people gain an insight in to running a large sports event and benefit from seeing the enjoyment on people's faces when they take part (This makes the effort worth while!). The event has attracted a number of compliments from participants over the past year for being a 'Friendly Event' and we wish to continue this.

There are many roles available to support the delivery of the events and we are looking for keen and enthusiastic people to join our team in our preparations and at the events. The event areas where we are requesting volunteering support include:

  • Event Preparation - administration, site preparation ...

  • Race Registration - checking participant details, distributing race packs ...

  • Results Service - supporting the Race Timing Company ...

  • Volunteer Support - working with the volunteers, refreshments scheme ...

  • Public queries on the day ...

  • Transition Area - managing access by participants, marshals ...

  • Event Marshals - supporting the specific sports in delivering the event all locations ...

  • Finish Area - timing chip collection, goodie bag distribution, presenting medals for fun runners ...

  • Awards Ceremonies - presiding over the trophies and awards ...

All volunteers will receive a complimentary event T-Shirt as a thank you!

So if you are interested in learning more about the events or want to support the events and volunteer at either the Junior Aquathon, Novice Triathlon or 1 mile Family Fun Run then please contact our Triathlon  Event Team by e-mailing: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The more helping hands that volunteer, the more enjoyable experience everyone shall have, but becareful, volunteering can be addictive and people can enjoy it too much and want to do more!
